FILAMO supports research stays of early career scientists within the field of aquatic and marine science to foster cross-methodological research and learning.
Early career scientist, up to five years after they received their PhD, can apply for grants to support research stays for up to three months. The stay should be related to their current research and focus on learning and applying new methods from a different methodological field than the ones they apply at their home institute.
The grant covers only travels and accommodation of up to 50.000 NOK (~5.400 Euro). All other costs must be financed through other sources. Applications exceeding the budged will not be considered. Successful applicants will be asked to write short report on their experience which will be made publicly available.

Applications can be submitted at any time and will be reviewed four times a year, on the 1st of January, April, July and October.
